Vincent had his two-month doctor's appointment today.

his measurements and percentiles are:

head size - 16" - 60%
weight - 10lbs 12.5oz - 30%
length - 22" - 15%

so all that is pretty good, the doctor even commented on how strong he was already because of the way he was holding his head and shoulders up.

he also got his first real round of vaccines today. >_< it was really hard for me to not cry. as it was, tears did well up. i insisted on holding him while they did it though. i wasn't going to make him get them if i couldn't be brave enough to hold him still during it.

i have never heard him scream like that before. he's been mad, upset, gassy, hungry and all sorts of other things. this was his first realexperience with pain and fear. i hope my holding him helped some. he did calm down fairly quickly without nursing, just me hugging and talking to him, but i still felt horrible.

his next appointment is Monday, January 14th at 8am.

i'm making Wil go with me.

This past week, my husband and I went in for our 20 week ultrasound. The technician took about an hour to do all the measurements and we got to see some pretty fantastic stuff. Below the cut, for those who are interested, are some of our images. This will be our first child and so all of this is very fascinating, scary, and fun.

What do you want from this community? I'd like to meet other moms and hope this community will be updated frequently! :)
Anything else you want to add... this pregnancy was definitely a surprise, i'm scared to go through it all over again especially because i had a c-section. with my previous pregnancy, i was sick up to 8 1/2 months!! the nightmare of daily & nightly nausea and vomitting, i'm not looking forward to again!! also, i'm terrifed of the thought of handling a toddler around a newborn. *chuckles* but i'll make it through!! right? currently i am a SAHM, so i watch a lot of lifetime movies & tv shows (reba, still standing, law&order svu) when i have free time. i love spending time with my son even though the terrible two's are driving me nuts! :)

Hi! My name is Rachel. I'm 28 years old and this is my second pregnancy. My first ended in miscarriage this summer, so I have a lot of fears with this one. I'm due September 2nd and have been so sick this first trimester! My house looks like a disaster area since I haven't had the energy to do simple things like dishes, laundry, basic cleaning. I've been exhausted, dizzy, nauseated, bloated..you name it. : ) I'm really looking forward to feeling better soon...hopefully I will!

According to dates, I was originally due on August 15th. At my ten week appointment with my doctor, an ultrasound showed the baby to only be about 7 weeks along. (+ or - seven days, which really leaves a lot to the imagination!) I go back for another check-up on Wednesday and I'll be interested to see if they "adjust" my due date again.

Hi! I'm new to the community. My name is Morgan and I'm 25. This is my second, I have an almost 7 year old daughter. I had Pre-eclampsia with my first and was hospitalized for weeks before delivering early (induced).
I am hoping that this pregnancy will go better. So far I've been exhausted, sick, and contantly have heartburn. The first trimester of my first pergnancy was like not even being pregnant. Look forward to chatting with you all! :D
